Screened In Porches Keep Those Pesky Mosquitoes Away

Is it summer time yet? Uh, what am I saying? I must have dosed off again. It's no where near June yet. In fact, we're just beginning winter here soon. So much for lounging outdoors with an ice-cold glass of lemonade. Nevertheless, let's think toward the near future. The seasons pass so quickly anyway. In no time flat it will be summer once again. So what about those summer months? Are they perfect? Of course not! You may love the weather, but I'd be willing to bet that you don't love the bugs. Did I hit that one on the nose or what? What we all require to relax more comfortably are screened in porches. This concept is as old as they get, but still as awesome and necessary as ever before.

OUCH! Darn it, not another mosquito bite! That one right there could be infused with the West Nile virus for all I know. Yep, you heard it right. The West Nile virus is clear across the nation these days. We're all at the mercy of this nasty health affliction. It's high time we all took necessary precautions. By this I mean, bug spray, screened in porches and possibly even a mosquito magnet. While I'm cure you've heard of the first two, a mosquito magnet may be a fresh concept to your ears. These are nifty devices that literally warn off and kill any mosquitoes that approach your home. A wise investment if you ask me. Especially with the West Nile virus in full-effect. We have to take more precautions now days. Speaking of which, you can always count on screened in porches. I believe this is what the concept came about for. Let's face it! We hate irksome bugs and insects swarming all over us. They're pesky and they often bite. So if you currently have a porch off of your home, or you're considering building one, then it's time to look into screened in porches. They truly are much more relaxing in during the summer months.

I noticed a few weeks back that my neighbor is installing a large porch on the rear of his home. He's clearly hip to the benefits of screened in porches, because I spotted the roll of screen lying on his lawn. This is the only way to go. We can't fool around with insect bites any longer. Furthermore, if you're headed outdoors this summer, take along the bug spray. Why risk it?
